Salutations

Welcome to the first installment of the David & Sarah Wilde Family Blog.

First order of business, you are welcome to visit our MySpace site at anytime:
http://www.myspace.com/marriedtonavy Here, we will add a few images from time to time and also maintain its blog.

Second, if ever you head Florida's way, please look us up and let us know. We would love to meet up with our old friends from everywhere.

Thirdly, Our current situation:

David, now serving his 13th year in the US Navy. He has been to sea on a ship for a full deployment only once, and we know there will be at least one more before he retires. We are hoping that his next assignment will be back to the P-3Cs so his deployments will not be so incredibly unpredictable. As it is, he has only been back for about a month and his son is just now finally getting used to it. Other than that, Dave is doing quite well. He knows that he needs to be looking at what he will do when his military career is over and he needs to begin preparing for that now (yesteryear). He has thought about Social Services and Law Enforcement. Both, I believe he would excell in.

Dave is studying for his next advancement exam scheduled for September. We are praying that he makes it this time since he was cheated this last cycle by 1.05 points. We are also looking at other possibilities like LDO programs. For this, he wouldn't have to have a degree, but would still hold the rank of an officer, get paid more, and hold a higher respect when he is finally done. This may even let him stay in a little longer as well.

Now, on to Sarah (me). I am doing fairly well. Being a stay-at-home-mom (SAHM) has been a world of blessing for me. I notice that it is easier to control Daisy's temper tantrums as well as have a better day-to-day relationship with her. Working moms have it rough because they have one set of stresses at work only to come home and get an entirely different set with little to no energy to handle it. I love being home with my to beautiful children. If it weren't for them, I would be stuck getting paid barely over minimum wage for a job that would normally pay $25-30k/year. I did love that job, though. Other than keeping an active role in my church, there really isn't too much else that I can say is going on with me that most of you wouldn't already know.

Daisy, Daisy. Our beautiful and blessed daughter! She is growing and developing and learning everyday. What a big helper she is! Her current loves are: watching movies, playing with her brother, saying prayers (for everything), singing songs to surprise us, talking to Daddy on the phone, taking baths (keep the water out of her entire face), and going to the zoo. Favorite characters in no particular order are: Tinker Bell, Dora, Cinderella, and Diego. Since we no longer have television service, I can't comment on her favorite shows, but we watch movies repeatedly from our collection.

Shawn. WOAH!!! Ths boy is growing so fast on us, we can hardly keep up with the calendar before he has some other significant event. He currently has 5 teeth (3 on to, 2 on bottom), but there are 3 more on the way. He is crawlling like a pro and thinks cruising is a great way to test the waters for walking. We have caught him at it a few times, but he seems to want to be very private about that development for now. I am sure he will be taking off sometime in the next month, but I will not count those chickens since I have already lost several that way (he seems to delay a day or two past what I guess). He is jabbering up a storm and tries new sounds all the time. his consonant sounds are coming along great. Oh, and his thumb is his best friend.

Well, that will be all for now. Please come back from time-to-time to check in on us.

May God bless each and every one of you.
